SOOLi on liittynyt eurooppalaisen uskonnonopettajien liiton, Eftren (European Forum for Teachers of Religious Education), j&auml;seneksi. Budapestissa elokuussa 2007 pidetyss&auml; konferenssissa valittiin SOOLin edustaja, yliopistolehtori Risto Aikonen, j&auml;rjest&ouml;n hallitukseen. Sittenmin h&auml;net on valittu jatkamaan Eftren hallituksessa my&ouml;s vuosina 2011-2013. Eftren kokouksista on kerrottu <i>Ortodoksinen Opettaja</i> -lehdess&auml;.
